Face the Book
So my British publisher goaded me into starting a Facebook page. Apparently it’s all the rage. Do you guys have one? Do please feel free to become my “friend.” I can’t promise I’m going to remember birthdays and things, but here’s the link.
One thing I do enjoy about the site, though, is that lately people have been using an application that’s all about... books!
You can make a virtual bookshelf by picking out books you’ve read, are reading, or would like to read, and folks can easily come by and chat with you about them.
I don’t know if your kids have Facebook pages— and I’m not suggesting they should, necessarily, especially not if they’re younger— but if they do, or are about to get one, you might suggest they try out this application. It’s kind of fun.
Please let me know what you think.

Awesome, I might take a look at that, sounds entertaining, but I can't say that I'll get a page. I have a blog and I love it.
I have a Myspace, but Facebook sounds pretty cool. I doubt I'll get an account though. I can barely keep up with my Myspace page.
I have a facebook account and I use it every day. I find that it's a great tool to advertise campus events, keep in touch with high school friends and friends who have graduated.
I have the books application. It is great you can see who is reading what you are and find other books you might like. And James will be my next friend.
I think you did it.s o what else is new.
YOu did it you scumbag and I hope you rot in hell for it!
Facebook used to be the place to go until old yuppies like yourself we able to get on. Facebook should go back to the way it was meant to me...COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ALUMNI ONLY.
*Meant to be
Let's not be rude, I'm sure there's a better way to get your point across.
So why shouldn't us "old" people have some fun, too, with facebook and MySpace. I think they are great fun.
Since when have Myspace and Facebook only been for College students and Alumni? I think that it doesn't matter what age you are to be on it...thats why the age to sign up is, like, 15. IDK about you, but I don't know any 15 year olds in College.
So, Jim, when are you going to get a Myspace page?
hi james what is your favorite/thanx tricia have a good day tommorrow
Nikolas, Facebook started out as an alternative to My Space for college students only. The idea was that by limiting who could join, it would be safer for those on it to express themselves freely.
I don't get on facebook much.
I prefer to read or play guild wars. :)
Oh, forgot to add that there are some comments posted on amazon since your last blog there... :) keep up the great writing.
I love Facebook - more so than MySpace - I have both and like Facebook more.
Anyway - I just added you! Keep up the great work! Whens the next book - can't wait!
Myspace or Facebook...is there a difference?
